About Me

I am a licensed Social Worker with New York State.  I have a Masters in Social Work from New York University and a Masters in Teaching from the School for International Training.

I am a certified psychoanalyst with several years of training in psychoanalytically-based psychotherapy as well as training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focussed Therapy and Mindfulness.

I am a faculty member of the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center and the New York Counseling and Guidance Service where I teach and supervise.

I work with individuals and couples and specialize in:

.  anxiety and worry
.  depression and loneliness
.  low self esteem and identity issues
.  career/job issues
.  interpersonal and relationship difficulties

My office is conveniently located at Union Square and East 16th Street, which is close to several subway stops, including the 4,5,6, N,R,L, and F trains.

I am out-of-network with all insurance companies, so you can get partial reimbursement for our sessions if you have out-of-network mental health benefits. Please contact your insurance company to find out if you have these benefits, what percentage of the session they cover and what your deductible is.
